I remember back in the day. When i used to live in Cali. A family friend went back to Japan to visit her family. When she came back she brought me a gift. My very first Gundam.

That was back in the 90's. I didn't have that hard of a time trying to put it together. Even though the instrucions were in Japanese. I didn't paint it , just put on the decals that came with it as best as i could.

Then in 1994 the Northridge Earthquake happend. A bookcase filled with encyclopedias fell on it..... Surprisingly it survived. I think i had to crazy glue one little piece. You couldn't even tell it was broken.

But Now all i have left is this.....

Time doesn't fly by.... it WARPS ! Sometimes the only way to gauge how much of it has passed is to stand still and look back.

Wow ! I love this show. THe final had some twists that kept me surprised. Even when i could guess what was going to happen, it gave me that "Happy" you get from a relly good story. I'll defently buy this when it comes out on DVD !!

My Sword from AX 2001.

This is A sword i bought at Anime Expo 2001. At the time i was a big fan of Love Hina. Guess which character was my favorite?? Anyways like i told Archy Shizuka from Gaia. Im posting this pic on my blog. The stand i have my sword on is from Pier 1. It was just some decoration my Ma` didn't use. I just like the look of it.

Notice some of my Anime Collection. BTW who else cant wait for the new Afro-Samurai thats coming out???

Has anybody been watchig Tora Dora?? Ep16 rocks! What about Michiko To Hatchin??
I wonder if the Shinchiro Watanabe (music producer for MTH) is the same Watanabe-sama that directed Cowboy Bebop. And Samurai Champloo. And co-directed Macross Plus.

some teenager asked me out on GaiaOline?? Yeah sure it was to a "fake" date and all.

But HELL no. I mean fuck, i dont know it just ruined the game for me. It gave me the creeps.

Shit, i know the internet can be addicting and fun. But dont use it to substiute your real life !! Gad dam !!!
If i choose to keep to myself in the real world ,why the hell would i be any different in an online game. ( im talking relationship wise)

Ok so i been on GaiaOnline for about 12 days now... i think. ANd maybe im becoming a lil` addicted. Granted i am NOT going to go buy a "Gaia Cash Card" anytime soon. Cuz im cheap like that. ANy ways i like the whole alternate universe feel to the site.
I mean you dress anyway you want, have your own car, and your own home!! TO top it off!! YOU PAY ZERO !!! actual cash for any of it.

hmmm....maybe GaiaOnline is part Socialist???? Then again it does have a marketplace...

So i been online playin Gai for a couple of days now. Its pretty fun. A hell of lot more fun than Mobsters on MySpace.PFFt. But it sure is time consuming. I ve only been able to buy one (ONE) acessory with the gold ive earned. Well at least my avatar sorta looks like the RL me.

One thing though. I feel kinda creeppy. i mean .I hope im not the oldest one there....

This fig was done by the Todd MacFarlane company. I still have it . Just not displaying it. Always liked that it had the FEEL of GITS movie (the first movie). But hated how not all her skin had not been created yet. Always thought that was a rip off. Oh well. I got other figs that look a little closer to the manga. But no pic of those.

So how many of you actually went out and voted?? How many of you had difficulties when you went to vote? ie. Some harrassed you because you were voting for (insert candidate) or had problems registering to vote?? Or you show up to vote and they tell you can't because they can't find your name on the registerd list??

Well that's what happend to my Dad... He registered to vote when he became a Citizen.That was in August. But when he went to vote on the 4th . Oops sorry you're not registered!!! WTF!

So i went to Nippan Daido today. Our Nihon-go Sensee mentioned it in the syallabus. You know as sort of a cultural activity. I went cuz i knew they were going to have cool stuff . They had Bootleg NHK DVDs (The actual TV station shows). All kinds of stuff. A couple cute japanese girls...
THe second reason for going was a friend of mine. We served in the NAVY together , and i got out and he reenlisted. Anyways he's on Deployment and a I didn't find any so i decided i get him something japanese.(Effin Hoang ya better pay me back). And i got myself a lil sometin`to .

So i Voted today. And it was the first time i have ever voted. I hope this time around there won't be a recount! Cuz those voteing machines ARE Way EZ to use.

Especially for old people. I mean the majority everyone there was elderly. I don't think i saw anyone under 30 voteing today.Sure while i was casting my ballots i could hear some old man asking for help on how to use it. But in less than a minute he was shown how to operate it.
There was about 5 pages of people u had to Vote for. The First obviously was for President and the other major elections. Such as Senators, and US representative. Then i believe the rest of the pages where for Local or state government. Oh yes the second page was for Judges. I wish i would have researched all candidates . I think i only knew one of the candidates for my local Government. And that was the guy thats in charge of the DMV. He had no competion and was the only Republican i voted for.

Since i don't remember all the names i voted for .....Does anyone know how to check to see who u voted for>??????

One more thing on the website www.Whytuesday?.com they issue sort of challenge to document your Vote with a camera. Now when i went they politely told me that cameras were not allowed. Is that legal??

So Last week we had to read "A Modest Proposal". By Jonathan Swift. If you haven't read it , it is a satirical social commentary on the way England treated the Irish in the 1700's.

Now as part of our assignment we have to write our OWN "Modest Proposal". It can be either satirical or serious. But has to be about a problem and MY solution to a topic we face in our society.

Now , we were given some examples of what we could write about.
But today i finished viewing the third debate and got me wondering? Maybe i can use one of the issues that were brought up in the questions? But i am not that politically savvy. The one issue they discussed that got my attention was the one about Education reform. Obama said something about helping out College students. McCain said something about vouchers?

If you are between 18 -30 have you read the candidates proposals? and did you understand them?

I don't know.... it looks like i 'll end up writing something incredibly morbid.

Okay as soon as i finished reading Mimi's post . I thought to myself wow (and trust me i been saying that for a while now!) I can't believe what a reaction i got !!! I actually inspired someone?? Second thought ; HELL this post inspires ME! to stay in school!!! HELL I GOTTA TRY HARDER!!

Whats up. i gotta write an illustrative essay for my english class. Im about half way done with it. Maybe a little bit less than that. ( its due wed.) TOMORROW i gotta turn it in for peer editing! Anyways the topic i chose was;

"The internet has resulted in a generation of lazy young people."

I am argueing against this statement.

So far i noted how young people have learned to use web programming languages to create content on the internet. I am also gonna site how the internet can be used for research , health , making friends, and interacting in politics.

I would LOVE to hear any suggestions that you might have. And any ideas that i might have missed. I was planning to site Dannychoo.com but im not sure how creative that might be. Since the content isn't user created. At least 99% of it. Well any suggestion will do? thanks.
